From Watergate to the High Street

Barberzone has been cutting hair in Grantham since 2000. We started out on Watergate, and in 2018 we moved to the red shopfront at 25 High Street, where you'll find us today.

After the best part of 25 years we've built up a solid portfolio of loyal regulars, and we're still taking on new faces: book online, ring the shop or just come in.

The punk on the walls

Our owner Stuart Meadows is the drummer in Resistance 77, the Grantham street punk band first formed back in 1979, so the Sex Pistols and The Damned on our walls are there for a reason.

Really great service from Nathan. Great atmosphere with good range of music and welcoming. Listened to what I wanted (how the wife told me to have it cut 😅 ). Took me from looking like a caveman to modern human. Sorted the hair, beard and even the nose and ear hair. He's a true master of his craft and clearly takes pride in what he does. Leave feeling fresh and the wife is definitely happy. I have a busy life with work and family and like that I can book a time in advance that suits me. I would definitely recommend.

A few things worth knowing before you come in.

Waxing included: Nose and ear waxing comes with The Haircut, at no extra cost.
Time for detail: Skin fades, pompadours and mid length styles get a 50 minute slot, so book the signature cut if you want something precise.
Kids: Kids' haircuts are £12.00. If they want a more precise style, book the longer slot so we have the time.
Seniors: Senior citizens' cuts are £11.00, and ladies over 60 pay £15.00 for a dry or wet trim.
Ladies too: Dry trims, wet trims, and a full wash, cut and blow dry.
The full works: An hour in the chair for a haircut, hairwash and beard trim, £23.00.
